In the early 1970’s gentleman farmer Alan Brazier tried to buy a vacuum cleaner to not only sweep up but clear spills and wash carpets.
There wasn’t one, so inspired by a milk churn on his Worcestershire dairy farm, he developed the iconic orange tub. The simple design looked, sounded and indeed was effective. In short it performed.
Vax was born. Production began in 1979 and soon became a massive success. More than thirty years later Vax continues to be the UK’s best selling floorcare brand with design, distribution and customer care still based in Droitwich.
The Vax family has grown too, extending across Europe, The Middle East and even Australia. We are now proudly part of Hong Kong based TechTronic Industries (TTI) - a market and innovation leader and one of the world’s number one floorcare group.
